The Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM), a member of the Detroit Medical Center, provides high-quality care for Michigan’s children and adolescents. Newsweek agrees that the organization is top-notch, ranking CHM the best in Michigan and 23rd in the world in 2024.
The news organization compiled the list after ranking 250 top hospital organizations worldwide for their pediatrics program. The CHM ranking was the only hospital on the list in Michigan. Newsweek partnered with the research firm Statista to survey thousands of healthcare professionals from 20 countries. These providers, workers, and hospital workers provided primary and secondary recommendations regarding their pediatric program through an online survey. Renowned medical experts worldwide reviewed the responses and then validated the results. These rankings are not only due recognition for top-performing organizations; they also provide patients and their families with information regarding which hospitals hire the most accomplished physicians and diagnosticians, have advanced technology, and offer the highest care. CEO of CHM, Archie Drake, stated the ranking is an honor as it places the organization among the best pediatric hospitals. Furthermore, the ranking reflects the organization’s commitment to providing both compassionate and high-quality care to patients and their families who depend on it. This honor is just one of the others CHM has received. In addition to the Newsweek ranking, US News & World Report ranked CHM as a premier pediatric hospital for the 15th consecutive year.
