DR. RAMESH SACHDEVA - AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS EXECUTIVE LEADER
As associate executive director with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) for the past two years, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva has guided the establishment of the Department for Subspecialty Pediatrics. He has also overseen the creation of an AAP Quality Division, which has major functions such as supporting quality education and developing a data analytics program. Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva is also coordinating efforts to build regional capacity for quality improvement by implementing opportunities for quality education training for physicians in the Southeastern part of the United States.
Since 2008, Dr. Sachdeva has also served as pediatrics professor with the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, with a focus on sleep medicine and critical care. He has past experience as chief quality officer and corporate vice president with the Children’s Hospital and Health System. In this capacity, he guided a quality strategy for the Milwaukee institution at the integrated health care system level. Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva holds a doctorate in epidemiology, with a health policy/management and biometrics focus from the University of Texas. He has also earned a law degree and a doctor of business administration in management sciences.
